Swingman Nkosinathi Sibanyoni (G/F) had a great game in the last round for Mpumalanga R., receiving a Interperformances Player of the Week award for round 4.
The player had a double-double of 18 points and 23 rebounds, while his team crushed East Cape W. (#10, 1-6) with 21-point margin 83-62. Mpumalanga R. is placed at 4th position in South African BNL. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost that single game earlier this season. Mpumalanga R. will need more victories to improve their 3-1 record. It's Sibanyoni's second year at Mpumalanga R. and it's hard to imagine this team without him. Nkosinathi Sibanyoni has solid league stats. He leads league in rebounds with 17.0rpg. Sibanyoni is in league's top in and averages impressive 3.0bpg and 56.0% FGP.
The second best player in last round's games was another Mpumalanga R.'s star - Sakhile Skhosana (G/F). Skhosana had a very good evening with a double-double of 16 points and 19 rebounds. Of course Mpumalanga R. cruised to a 76-68 relatively comfortable win over slightly higher-ranked Soweto P. (#2, 4-1). It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the title. Mpumalanga R. consolidated its place in top 4 of the standings. His team's 3-1 record is not bad at all. Skhosana is well-known at Mpumalanga R. and together with Nkosinathi Sibanyoni are proven team's leaders.
Third on the list of top players last round was guard Marcus Mokwena (G-88) of Tshwane S. (#5). Mokwena scored 17 points and grabbed thirteen rebounds (!!!). He was a key player of Tshwane S., leading his team to a 64-47 easy win against the lower-ranked East Cape W. (#10, 1-6). Tshwane S. needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 3 victories and 1 lost games. Mokwena has a great season in South Africa. After only 4 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 10.3rpg (9th best) and assists with 2.8apg (8th best).

The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
